COVID lockdown does not have to be boring! Learn a new skill or advance your techniques with advice from our professional artist instructors. CIAS has posted SEVEN new online visual art courses led by our instructor, Scot Paisley, for children, teenagers and adults.
Scot Paisley has taught students of all ages and instructed for The Alberta University of the Arts, Rundle College, Rundle Academy, North Point School for Boys, Leighton Art Centre and the Town of Cochrane. He is currently teaching college level art and design courses for the Visual College of Art and Design (VCAD.)
For adult beginner artists, there is a variety of Acrylic Portrait Painting, Watercolour Flower Painting and Animal Drawing, and for intermediate/advanced artists, Scot will teach the key principles of dramatic composition and how colours create depth in art in Colour and Design. Take your art to the next level!
Ages 7-12 will create their own comic book in Bam! Pow! Bazinga! How To Draw Comics. 9-14 year olds can choose between learning Fantasy Character and Manga Style Characters and how to set the background for their posters.
15-17 year olds are invited to join the adults in Animal Drawing – learning the techniques of drawing eyes, fur and fangs to make their animals live!
